Three late spring races at famed First State track draw NASCAR notables for first of two 2011 race weekends.

Bethany Beach, Delaware – Dover International Speedway’s Monster Mile hosts the 11th race weekend on the 2011 NASCAR schedule May 13-15, featuring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series FedEx 400, benefitting Autism Speaks; NASCAR Nationwide Series 5-Hour Energy 200; and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Lucas Oil 200 events.

ResortQuest is offering privately-owned Bethany Beach vacation rentals – ranging from oceanfront condos to secluded single family beach homes – for a race-weekend special of 20% off stays of 3 nights or more. For more than 40 years, The First State’s one-mile concrete oval has treated race fans, up to 135,000 per event, to exciting racing from the biggest names in the sport.

Kyle Busch took the checked flag in last year’s Sprint Cup Series Autism Speaks 400, presented by Hershey’s Milk & Milkshakes, and last year’s Nationwide Series Heluva Good 200. Aric Almirola won the Camping World Truck Series Dover 200.

Last year’s spring race winners were:

  • Sprint Cup: Busch – finishing ahead of Jeff Burton, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, David Reutimann, Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart and Joey Logano.
  • Nationwide Series: Busch – besting Ryan Newman, Jamie McMurray, Reed Sorenson, Jason Leffler, Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Biffle, Brian Scott and Collin Braun.

Also, last fall, Danica Patrick made her NASCAR debut at the Monster Mile.
