The coastal Sussex County area including Bethany Beach and nearby towns like Ocean View, Millville and Fenwick Island is filled with beautiful scenery, fabulous dining and exciting events to keep you busy year-round.
So the Bethany Beach Blog is on a mission to give you a taste of the area from A to Z each week, by presenting those things that make this area so special.
We would love to have as many entries as possible for each letter, so feel free to add to our list by leaving a reply under the post.
The first part of its name refers to Atlas of Greek mythology, making the Atlantic the “Sea of Atlas”. When you dip your toes into the ocean, you are in the body of water that covers 20% of the Earth’s surface!

Armand’s Pizza – Located in the Marketplace at Sea Colony, this dine-in/carry out pizzaria is one of 11 DC-area restuarants, which offers famed deep-dish pizzas as well as fresh-made pastas and salads.
Assateague Island – As reader “Beach Press” said “Wild ponies, secluded beaches, nature trails, off-road areas, surf fishing.” What more could you ask for in a beach destination?
Al Casapulla’s – Located in Millville right on Rt. 26, Al Casapulla’s specializes in subs, steaks and pizza. Great Itallian food with a great atmosphere.
Art – (from The Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce via Facebook) “Art! This area boasts several year-round galleries, art studios, and retail stores that showcase work by extremely talented local artists and offer an array of styles and mediums. There’s no rush or crowds, so you can take your time appreciating the beautiful and unique pieces.”
