Darius Rucker is among the headliners this year for The Freeman Stage at Bayside golf resort’s Special Concert Event Series this summer.
Along with a full entertainment schedule that includes live music, comedy, children’s acts, dance performances, muscials and more, Freeman Stage in West Fenwick Island, Delaware has sprinkled in five Special Concert Events throughout the summer.
Rucker, the former front man of the wildly popular band, Hootie and the Blowfish, takes the stage Thursday, July 26 now as a successful county music star with numerous number one hits all his own.
The Concert Event series officially kicks off July 6 with Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes brining over 3 decades worth of music to the Freeman Stage.
Friday, July 20 welcomes four-time Emmy Award winner and two-time Grammy nominee John Tesh. Accompanying Tesh will be a full instrument ensemble as part of his recent “Big Band Live!” projects playing Great American Songbook classics.
A winner of three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, three Golden Globes and a Tony award, composer Marvin Hamlisch brings his powerful music to Bayside Sunday, July 29. Accompanying Hamlisch is acclaimed Broadway performer J. Mark McVey.
The final Special Concert Event comes Wednesday, August 1, as Broadway stars, The Midtown Men, hit the stage to reunite four stars of the original cast of Jersey Boys! Tony-Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony-Award nominee J. Robert Spencer will delight the crowd with their reprising of popular music from the 1960’s.
