French Open doubles champion Luke Jensen, a former collegiate All-American and multi-time pro tour winner, takes to the courts at the award-winning Sea Colony Tennis Center, located at West Way Drive and Kent Avenue just south of Bethany Beach, on Friday, July 13, for a strokes and strategy clinic from 2-4 p.m., immediately followed by a Q&A session from 4-5 p.m.
Jensen will then grab a racquet and take part in a Pro Exhibition with Sea Colony’s teaching professionals at 5 p.m.
Known as “Dual Hand Luke” because he serves equally well right and left handed. Jensen is currently the head coach of the Syracuse University women’s tennis team and also works as an on-court tennis analyst for ESPN.
As a pro, Jensen won 10 doubles titles from 1988 to 1997, including the 1993 French Open, with his brother Murphy. Jensen achieved a doubles ranking as high as No. 6 and also worked his way up to No. 168 in singles competition.
With 34 tennis courts, including four indoor and 14 Har-Tru clay, and a great team of teaching professionals, Sea Colony Tennis, under Tennis Director Thomas Johnston, offers a wide range of camps, clinics and private instruction to tennis players of all ages and skill levels.
