Welcome to August! This last month of summer is notorious for being a hot one and here at the Delaware beaches there’s a variety of ways to cool off. Some days it’s nice to take a break from the beach and spend a day at the water park.
With several options all within a short drive of one another, one could easily water park hop around to try them all to find a favorite. These parks offer fun for all ages from toddler wading pools to thrill seeking rides for the young at heart.

Midway Speedway Park & White Water Mountain– Rehoboth Beach
This water park offers a lazy river, pools and water slides. This park is 100% kid friendly and the offers other attractions including go-karts, mini-golf, bumper boats and more.
Jungle Jim’s– Rehoboth Beach
Advertised as Delaware’s largest water park this spot has everything one needs for fun in the sun including a lazy river, kiddie pool, largewater water slides, activity pool and kid’s spray ground. Featuring a fun jungle theme throughout the entire park including a water slide where you exit out of a snake’s mouth, it’s sure to add great memories to your vacation.
Thunder Lagoon Water Park- Fenwick Island
Located on the Delaware/Maryland line this park offers a 400-foot lazy river and a tipping Viking ship that spills 250 gallons throughout the day. This park is great for families with small children.
Jolly Roger’s Splash Mountain- Ocean City, Md.
Located just a little ways into Ocean City, Jolly Roger’s offers an array of cooling activities for adults and toddlers with several kiddie pools and some of the largest water slides around. With more than just pools, it offers other water activities including obstacle courses, water volleyball and water guns, there’s not a chance of boredom here!
